Kosovo Roma refugees returning to Kosovo face few prospects

‘Turkish Weekly’ reports that those Roma refugees, who have been repatriated to Kosovo from Europe in recent months say that it is a life of extreme poverty and unemployment, made all the more challenging by the need to reintegrate back into Kosovo society. Their repatriation is part of the readmission agreements signed between Kosovo and Germany, Switzerland, the Benelux and other countries in order to develop a visa liberalisation strategy. For the returning refugees it is extremly hard to reintegrate and especially their children face difficulties as most of them don’t even speak the language.
