Romania Romtelecom and the Child Line Association in the service of children for 10 years

‘Nine Oclock’ reports that the two partners organized an event to celebrate a decade of their existence together in fighting to defend children rights in Romania. Within the press conference, the journalists were presented significant results and alarming statistics related to the situation of children in Romania. The campaign is called _“Casa de copii nu e acasa”*_ (An orphanage is not a home) and was launched in 2001, with a strong focus on abandoned children. Since 2001, the Association answered almost 1.7 million phone calls, totaling 12 million minutes of counselling. Over 30.000 cases have been solved since 2001, with the immediate intervention of the pertinent authorities.
