Russia Russia prompts crisis of European human rights justice

- ‘BBC’ reports that the European Court of Human Rights is in crisis, having a backlog of 120,000 cases, 28% of which are against Russia, which has blocked a package of reforms the past three years, which would have streamlined court procedures. The so-called ‘Protocol 14’ was not ratified by the Russian Duma since 2006.
