Romania Start of the first "catch-up classes"

Craiova, Romania: On Monday, They were more than 50 pupils from third and fourth grade of primary school who participated to the first “catch-up classes”. The five community centers are proposing specific courses twice a week to children in difficulties.
The objective is to reduce the school drop out and to help the children to learn the basics: read, write and count. A first evaluation of this program will take place at the end of October during the holidays and a second evaluation will be done in December, at the end of the first quarter. [LS]
