Europe Still destination for women trafficked for sexual exploitation

‘The Malta Independent Online’ published a long article summarizing the US State Department’s TIP report about Malta, which puts the country in Tier 2. Among other things, the report recommended Malta “vigorously prosecutes” and convicts trafficking offenders, continues to develop and implement procedures for identifying and caring for victims – including possible child victims and to consider raising awareness to deter the possibility of child sex tourism.
