Romania Summer Camps 2008 in Craiova

Craiova – Romania: This year a total number of 653 children directly took part to the summer activities organized together with local schools in 6 communities in the County of Dolj (Craiova) during July and August. The summer camps were organized twice a week in each community. The figures of this year’s camps reflected that at least 69% of the children directly assisted by Tdh during the year took part to these activities. The Summer Camps proposed games, drawings, trips, partys and a wide range of indoor and outdoor activities.

This activities were supervised by 18 animators who were selected after a training in June. Tdh organized this training together with the Romanian NGO SOS Satele Coopilor. Both NGO’s provided the animators with techniques and methods of animation for children. [MAE]
