Switzerland Support and protection of child and youth must be put in the Constitution

Lausanne, Witzerland: A constitutional basis is needed to reinforce child and youth promotion and protection in Switzerland. This demand is the recommendation of State Council’s Committee of Science, Education and Culture in line with National Council’s decision following a parliamentary initiative made by Viola Amherd. Tdh Programs in Switzerland welcomes this decision. They are involved for better coordination of child and youth’s promotion and protection at national level. On one hand, Tdh is involved in the Coalition for an effective child and youth protection policy. And on the other hand, Tdh wants to improve harmonisation of measures to take charge of young migrants in the cantons, thanks to the project for non-accompanied children.
