Switzerland Switzerland still weak European spot in US human trafficking report

‘GenevaLunch’ reports that Switzerland in 2010 retained its poor “tier 2″ ranking in the annual US Trafficking in Persons Report 2011, one of the most broad-ranging global studies of the extent of the problem. “Switzerland is primarily a destination and a transit country for women and children subjected to sex trafficking and children forced into begging and theft". The report suggests that Switzerland should prohibit all prostitution under age 18. Switzerland also receives low marks for not sending to prison a higher proportion of criminals with convictions for human trafficking.
