European Union Tackling modern day "slavery" of trafficking

European Parliament reports on its website that a recent seminar of MEPs discussed human trafficking in Europe. Europol’s Serious Crime Department representative admitted that due to Schengen and open borders, the patterns of trafficking are changing and it is much more difficult to identify the locations of origin of the people trafficked.
