Russia Teen smoking called a 'National Catastrophe'

‘Moscow Times’ reports that according to the chief medical official 73% of boys and 65% of Russian girls smoke. He declared it a ‘national catastrophe’. Political leaders discussed ways of reducing this health hazard for adults as well as for youths. The last public billboard campaign for example resulted in 7% quitting smoking- according to a survey.
