UK The asylum seekers survive on £10 a week
16 Jun 2010 |
‘Guardian’ published a feature article, about the desperate life of failed asylum seekers in the UK. Until they are sent back they are provided with no accommodation but cannot work, so they survive on 10 pounds a day provided by the Red Cross. Apparently there are an estimated 200,000 asylum seekers with no state support, while 20,000 receive food from the Red Cross.
