Albania The children of Rozafa, Albania

– Albania*: 30 photos of the children from the ‘Evgit’ minority, a population still severely discriminated in the South East of Albania, at the border with Greece. The remarkable work of the photographer, Virginie Terrasse (from ‘Myop’ Agency, see the website here) shows daily scenes of ‘Rozafa’ project, implemented by the Albanian NGO NPF (Help for Children): at home, in school, in vocational training workshops. Initiated by Tdh in 1993, and supported since 2005 by Unicef, ‘Rozafa’ Project is dedicated to the prevention of early abandonment of infants through a complex set of psychosocial activities. NPF is one of the founding members of the Albanian coalition against child trafficking (see BKTF website here). [VT]
