Ireland The latest country to victimise Roma

Belfast Telegraph columnist, Eamon McCann analyses the discrimination against Roma children in a historical perspective. Beginning with examples of the Nazi concentration camps, the long list of racist attacks against the Roma until today offer cases from Croatia, Kosovo, Czech Republic or Italy. The author concludes that racist attitude to the Roma persists in parts of Europe and its in joint European responsibility to find long term solution to fight against this phenomena.
