Romania The new Criminal Code stirs scandal

‘Nine o’Clock’ reports that new provisions of the Romanian Criminal and Civil Codes have been presented on Friday by Romanian Justice Minister. He reportedly explained that punishments for several offences, like prostitution or adultery between major persons, will be reduced. But he denied that the new legislation will legalize prostitution. “We want to repress the phenomenon of prostitution attacking procuring and the trafficking in humans”, he reportedly said.
