Bulgaria The political economy of prostitution

‘Sofia Echo’ published an analytical article about prostitution in Bulgaria. Unfortunately the article treats prostitution more as a public order problem, rather than an exploitation or trafficking issue, and hardly mentions the fact that pimps and organised crime is behind the trade. It does mention current debates in Bulgaria about the legalization of prostitution – but looks at it more as a taxation issue.
