Bulgaria Three arrested for selling newborn for 13,000 euros

- ‘Sofia Echo’ reports that “three Bulgarian nationals have been arrested by Greek police while attempting to sell a two-month-old baby”. According to police the baby was born on Crete. The article provides a background to human trafficking in Bulgaria citing data that 15% of people Bulgarian trafficking victims are children, trafficked to Greece and the UK for the purposes of forced begging or petty theft.
