Kosovo Three trainings on Case Management
Project : MARIO 31 Oct 2009 | protection systems
Pristine, Kosovo: In October, three workshops in the frame of Mario Project were organized in Prishtine, Gjakove, and Gjilan regarding the Case Management System for children at risk of exploitation/trafficking and delinquency. The participants became more aware about the importance of institutions collaborating in finding better solutions for children cases. The psychologist especially benefited from this training since they lacked knowledge in this topic, and given that they don’t have any case management system within the schools.
For other participants the interest was more in the mapping of resources to find better solution for children, and the level of risk for children at risk of exploitation/trafficking. Furthermore some participants suggested that the material should be handed to them in order for them to put it in practice.
The aim of this workshop was capacity building for the social service providers on Case Management System, as well as to increase the cooperation between the Task Force members: CPU’s, Probation Service, Municipal Directorate of Education, School Psychologist, Community Police, Domestic Violence Unit, NGO-Save the Children, NGO-Alma, NGO-Kosovo Youth Council, NGO-Iniciativa 6, all coming from different regions such as Gjakova, Prizren, Pristine, Peja, Ferizaj, Gjilan and Mitrovica.
