2 Sep 2010 |

‘European Parliament’ reports that the Parliamentary Committees on Civil Liberties and Women’s Rights approved over 200 amendments to the draft human trafficking directive. Using the services of a trafficked person will be a criminal offence, while the definition of trafficking will now include begging or the illegal adoption of children – including trafficking of pregnant women for the purpose of illegal adoption, and trafficking with a view to forced marriages.
