Italy Trafficking from Nigeria rises sharply

- ‘IPS’ reports that there is an a*larming rise in the number of young girls from Nigeria arriving in Lampedusa.* Close to 80% of them are said to be sexually exploited. Trafficking, exploitation, and abuse were discussed during a conference of women’s groups in Rome September 9-10.
