Belgium UNCRC calls on Belgium to ban child begging

The UN Committee on the Rights of the Child published its final observations and recommendations to the Belgian State further to its 3rd periodic report concerning the implementation of the Convention. The Committee expressed its concern about a Brussels Court ruling not prohibiting parents from using their children for begging. The Committee called on Belgium to expressly ban the use of children for begging on the streets.
