Europe UNICEF calls on states to accelerate reforms on child care services

• ’UN Radio reports that UNICEF is calling on governments in Eastern Europe to accelerate reforms on social child care services in response to the current economic crisis. It says that poverty and disability of the child often pushes families to put them in state institutions, in the absence of adequate social protection mechanisms.
