Comment: Child trafficking continues to be a concerning issue of the Kosovar society. According to the UNICEF report 6 forms or ways of exploitation exist during the trafficking process such as: sexual exploitation (prostitution or pornography), illegal adoption, domestic labor, common with “slavery”, begging, illegal criminal activities involving burglary and theft. However, this report proves that these problems can be treated if big efforts and time are put in.

Based on the results by the Kosovo Police, it shows that since last year they have had a higher success in combating traffickers, especially trafficking in children. While the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare is one of the main actors that offer protection and social services for children victims of trafficking.

While child trafficking still continues in Kosovo, cooperation among the Kosovo government and organizations dealing with these issues is very important, and it has been proved that only by working together they can be successful in fighting this phenomenon.
