Comment: May and June 2010 MOVE project organized real holidays for Moldovan children from rural communities of three regions – Soroca, Ungheni and Ialoveni. Even if the holidays are already over, MOVE still receives good reviews of the events.

This is the case with the magazine for children “US” that wrote the article “The competition without winners” about MOVE event organized in Ialoveni for 60 children from four communities of the Ialoveni district.

“The competition without winners” starts with describing the atmosphere of enjoyment and happiness of those attending the fair play events, as well as mentioning that this event is organized and carried out by Terre des hommes Delegation in Moldova, with kind support from the regional and local public authorities. The success of the event is explicitly highlighted. The article shows the positive attitude that the parents entertain towards the fair play event, as well as emphasizing the gender-sensitive approach that MOVE events apply, while carrying out the psychosocial activities for children.

In conclusion, the article raises the issue of the day – what exactly should the children, who are deprived of attention and parental love, expect from their lives? How could we help them to grow up in a healthy and friendly atmosphere? These are the question not only for the state agencies, but for every one of us.
