Moldova Every fourth parent beats child

Comment: The article informs the readers about an event organised by the NGO “Family Planning Association of Moldova” on the occasion of the World Day for the Prevention of Child Abuse. According to the article, between November 13 and 19 a number of events, performances, news conferences, book donations, recitals of poetry and exhibitions will take place in the organisation of the Association.

The article also quotes the 2004 study by UNICEF and the Moldovan government, according to which 25% of children admitted they had been beaten by their parents and 7% of parents admitted to slapping children whileee 4% admitted to hitting them with an object.
