Kosovo Pedophile, taboo theme in the Kosovar Society

Comment: Pristine, 21 December – In a recording video a 20 year old Albanian girl is seen kissing erotically with a minor under the age of 5. This video recording was published for more than a month on youtube. According to the information, this video recording was published on the 9th of November and it was removed on 19th of December. The police said that they are not aware of this incident. In the mean time, the article reports that the psychiatric auhtorities say that in Kosovo there is no knowledge of measures for such a disorder as pedophilia.

According to the Kosovo Police spokesman, the Police have not classified any statistics of specific cases of pedophilia, since the Police have never had such a training. Where as, according to a neuropsychiatric, the problem remains because Kosovo as a society don’t have any accurate research for this pathology.

The article shows how the Kosovar society is not aware of pedophilia related issues. More campaigns should be conducted in order to make the public aware of the existence of this phenomenon. The Kosovar society and the institutions of Kosovo should be aware of the consequences of pedophilia while it seems that this phenomenon is still considered as a taboo.
