Comment: The story presented in this article supports other evidence that Prizren border point with Albania has become the most common point from where trafficking victims are brought in to Kosovo. During a police raid in a bar in Prizren five employees from Albania were found, among whom one was 16 years old. Due to lack of any identification document by the girl and based on the interview with her, the police suspects that the girl might have been trafficked and exploited for sexual services.
While the investigations are ongoing, attention should be paid also to the situation of the four other women found working in the bar. The fact that they were in possession of regular working and residence permit does not exclude the possibility that they might be exploited as well. The article provides information on a suspected person investigated by police but remains silent on measures taken by the police against the bar owner, where the sexual exploitation of the underage girl might have occurred.
