Albania The Englishman 'drowned'. Another slap to the defendant

Comment: This press review is about “Brown’s case” , on which the Albanian press coverage has been analysed in several occasions (last article here ).

Other testimonies were given yesterday about Brown’s case, according to the media. It was his home country, England that provided the court of Tirana with the testimonies of former volunteers of “His Children” center . In their testimonies, the witnesses declared that David Brown used to sleep with two children in his room, respectively 6 and 7 years old and he was keeping one of them in his double bed.

All testimonies given until now plead Brown and the other defendants guilty.

The press review would like to put an emphasis on how the Albanian newspaper denounces the behavior of the lawyer Ms Gjystina Gjolloshi who has revealed the identity of the abused children , especially the one of those who testified against the perpetrator.

The media are very often criticised about these issues. This time, the newspaper reports on the non-respect of the protection of the identity of the victims by a lawyer. The article describes in details how the judge reacted very firmly against the lawyer : a request would be sent to the Ministry of Justice and National Chamber of Lawyers to take reprisal against Ms Gjystina Gjolloshi.
